ZIGGY *****AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!*****

Ziggy is a 2-3 year old female Redbone Coonhound / Lab mix.  She's one of the sweetest dogs around and gets along with other dogs, cats and she adores children.  Ziggy is housetrained and knows basic commands. Poor Ziggy came to us after being given to a shelter when her previous owner passed away.  She stayed in that shelter for almost a year and her time was up. We brought Ziggy here to DC because the shelter staff loved her so much and couldn't bare to see her put down.  She is obviously so beautiful with her unique coloring and she's only about 40-45lbs (not a huge dog)! Ziggy is healthy and so happy. She is a little nervous about big city life and needs someone to show her urban living isn't so scary! Won't you give this amazing companion the home and life she finally deserves!!  Ziggy's adoption fee is $150 and includes her spay operation, required vaccinations and more!

TAMIKA *****AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!*****

Tamika is a 2 year old female Siberian Husky / Shepherd mix.  She just loves attention from people and is very adoring.  Tamika was a stray, and pregnant with her 3 puppies when she was turned into a local pound.  Well, that is no place to raise kids...so we decided to give this family a better place to rest while they all find forever, loving homes. Now, only Tamika needs a home!  Tamika is good with other well-behaved dogs, including other large female dogs and is okay with cats.  She has not been tested yet around children, but just adores being around people and we think she would be great with older kids at least.  Tamika is very, very friendly and loves company. She has some separation anxiety that we are working with her on. She would do great in a home that has lots of people and activity that she can be a part of. Tamika is a GORGEOUS, healthy dog that will make someone very happy for a long time!  Preference will go to applicants who have previous artic breed experience.  Tamika's adoption fee is $225 and includes her spay operation, required shots and more!

KERMIT *****AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!*****

Kermit is a 1.5 year old male purebred Boston Terrier.  He came to us from a puppy mill and was in pretty rough shape, but a typical happy boston personality! The good news is that he loves to be around people and gets along great with the other dogs. The bad news is that he is just learning now about housetraining and he is dealing with some health issues. Kermit has a condition called "dry eye" where he doesn't make enough tears. He has to have eye medication for the rest of his life to help keep his eyes from being so sensitive. He also has a skin infection that we are treating which should clear up soon.  Kermit also tested positive for heartworm disease. It looks to be in the early stages of the disease and after treatment he is expected to be heartworm free and live a long, happy life!  Kermit is about 20lbs and is full grown. He has been neutered and is up to date on his required shots. He is being cared for and treated by City Dogs Rescue and his current medical treatment is included in his adoption fee.  Due to his health conditions and the fact that our vets would like to monitor Kermit, he will only be available for adoption in our immediate adoption area. Kermit's adoption fee is $285. Feel free to email us with any questions about this little love bug!!

KISSIE *****AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!*****

Kissie is a 1.5 year old female purebred Boston Terrier. She came to us from a puppy mill rescue and was in pretty bad shape. She keeps smiling through it all though, in true Boston fashion! Kissie loves life and gets along great with people and dogs alike. She has not been tested around cats or children. Kissie is just learning basic commands and housetraining. Kissie has some health issues that she is currently dealing with. Kissie has "dry eye", a chronic condition that gives her sensitive eyes. Kissie will require eye meds for life to help make her eyes not so sensitive and irritated. Kissis also has a skin infection, called demodex, which is caused by mites. While all dogs have these mites on them, some dogs (especially under stress) can have hot spot skin irritation. Demodex is treatable and we think Kissie will be looking beautiful soon! Kissie also is heartworm positive. It looks to be in the early stages of the disease and after treatment she is expected to be heartworm free and live a long, happy life! Kissie is just over 15lbs of pure love and is full grown. She has been spayed and is up to date on her required vaccinations. Kissie's current medical treatments are included in her adoption fee of $285. Kissie is only available for adoption in our immediate adoption area.  Feel free to email us with any questions about this sweet as sugar little girl!

He gets along great with other dogs, likes to play (and chase) cats, and adores people. Muppet is a high energy dog, typical of boston terriers.  He is quite the charmer and certainly will bring lots of laughs and love into any home.  Muppet had double cherry eyes, which we had operated on and corrected. Muppet has a chronic eye condition called dry eye, which will require lifelong eye medication to prevent his eyes from becoming irritated and sensitive. Muppet's adoption fee is $300 and includes his neutering and eye operation, required shots and other medical needs while under our immediate care.
