City Dogs Rescue is in immediate, URGENT need for dry kibble for puppies.
We can accept open bags as long as the food is still in good condition and not expired.

City Dogs Rescue (CDR) is a no-kill, cageless facility that serves to help place homeless dogs into forever, loving homes. We are staffed 24 hours a day, and our dogs, run, jump and play to their hearts content! We provide our dogs with all the love and care they need to succeed as great pets for new, loving owners. Our adoption process is professional and thorough, as we seek to match dogs and owners for optimal success.
CDR adopts only to residents in the Metro DC area. Please visit our adoption area link for info.

DUKE *****AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!*****
Duke is a 3 year old male yellow lab / husky mix. He's a big sweetie who loves going on walks, romping around the yard and having his chest scratched. He's a sucker for a good rub behind the ears! He is good with other dogs and passed his cat test. He has not been tested with children, but we think he would do well with them. Duke knows some basic commands, but needs some work on walking on the leash (he likes to pull). We're happy to help teach you, teach him how to do so! Duke is up to date on his required vaccinations, neutered and crate-trained. Duke's adoption fee is $285 and includes his neutering operation, free vet visit after adoption and a training DVD.

Sarge is a 1.5 year old male dachshund/yorkie mix. He is a very friendly little guy, who gets along well with other dogs, cats and children. He is crate-trained and likely housetrained. He's medium energy level and quiet. He is learning basic commands. Sarge is up to date on his required vaccinations and is neutered. Sarge's adoption fee is $325 and includes his neutering operation, free vet visit after adoption and a training DVD. At this time we are not allowing out of area adoptions for Sarge.

Ears is a 15 week old male beagle mix puppy. He will be a small-medium sized adult dog. Ears is very sweet and cuddly. He charms everyone he meets! Ears is not yet housetrained and does not know basic commands. He has an average puppy energy level. Ears gets along with other dogs and passed his cat test. He has not been tested around children. Ears is up to date on his age-appropriate vaccinations. His adoption fee is $325 and includes his neutering operation, free vet visit after adoption, and a training DVD.
